The TAIZAN Pure Silver (SV999) series inherits the techniques of "shiroganeshi" (silversmiths) passed down since the late Edo period, skillfully incorporating traditional craft techniques.During the Edo period, craftsmen who made silver products were called "shiroganeshi." They received commissions from daimyo families to produce silver kettles, kiseru (smoking pipes), tea ceremony utensils, and more, supporting Japanese culture and aesthetics.
In recent years, due to the soaring prices of gold and silver, silver is being re-evaluated globally. Pure silver (Silver 999 / SV999) has a purity of 99.9% or more, making it a material where silver's inherent properties are maximized compared to alloys (such as silver 925). Since it contains almost no dissimilar metals like nickel or copper, it has the characteristic of being less likely to cause metal allergies.
