The Story Behind KABUTO (a Two-Way Tote and Backpack)

・Looks good as a backpack, but not stylish as a tote bag.
・A backpack is convenient for travel, but it's not professional to carry one into a client meeting.
・Blends in with suits, but not with casual clothes.

To solve these challenges, we developed a luxury bag that can be used 365 days a year in any situation, whether with a suit or casual wear.

We wanted a design that was completely unique and unlike any other brand, so the representative of TAIZAN designed KABUTO himself, a bag that transforms to suit your needs. We hope you enjoy it.


How to Use

・When using as a backpack, attach the rear fasteners.
・When using as a tote bag, remove the fasteners and store them in the dedicated pocket.
・When placing it on a suitcase, open the top and bottom zippers and secure it to prevent it from falling.
・Store your laptop in the dedicated laptop compartment.

Design

TAIZAN's KABUTO is designed with the image of a samurai helmet's "kuwagata" (horn-like projections) and "fukikaeshi" (turned-back protectors).
The first samurai helmets appeared during the Kofun period. While they served as protective gear, as times changed, they also came to represent the dignity and individuality of warriors. We lovingly craft our bags to be an item that allows you to unleash your own individuality.
