TAIZAN KAKKI Leather Saké Cup Red Meteorite

TAIZAN KAKKI Leather Saké Cup Red Meteorite

TAIZAN KAKKI, the world's first leatherware brand.

Wabi-sabi leather is elevated into a "guinomi," a traditional Japanese sake cup.

In recent years, while many high-end leather bags and jackets have been created, split leather has been discarded. TAIZAN redefines this unused material as "Wabi-Sabi Leather," fusing ancient Japanese aesthetics with innovative leather molding technology.

Under the name TAIZAN KAKKI, a new culture of "kakki" (leatherware) is expressed.

Just as the characters for "leather" (革) and "wrap" (包) combine to read "kaban" (鞄, bag),
TAIZAN proposes a new character, "kakki" (革器), formed from "leather" (革) and "vessel" (器).

Transforming leather from something worn to "vessels that adorn culinary culture."
A new wabi-sabi luxury born from Japanese aesthetics.

The spirit of "itadakimasu" deeply rooted in Japan.
The ultimate sustainable leatherware, born from a profound respect for the material itself, utilizing every part of the cowhide.

Furthermore, one of the appeals of leatherware is its characteristic of being "overwhelmingly less prone to breakage" compared to pottery. However, even if cracks or breaks occur, they can be beautifully restored by incorporating the philosophies of "kintsugi" and "yobitsugi," traditional Japanese repair techniques.

Even scratches and cracks are accepted as beauty.
This is the very essence of the "Wabi-Sabi Luxury" value proposed by TAIZAN.

*A dedicated paulownia wood box is included.

◆How to wash leatherware
